HISTORY OF THE NAPPANEE KIDDIE PARADE:
A long time tradition in Nappanee is what used to be know as the "Pet Parade" or "Kiddie Parade".  Throughout the years dating back to the 40s during Apple Festival, Independence day Parades or other town celebrations kids were invited to decorate their bikes and wagons, dress up their pets, or get together with neighborhood kids to make a float! Walking with costumes or riding floats, bikes or wagons kids got to show their spirit and be in the parade!!   This year we are bringing the tradition back to Nappanee during the tradional Fourth of July Parade that everyone loves.  The Kiddie Parade entries will walk together toward the front of the big parade.  Anything goes in this opportunity to kids to show off their cute and adorable smiles.   With prizes given away for the best entries!
